How do I feel about joining the world of blogging? My feelings conflict with one another.
Vulnerable. My thoughts have suddenly been thrusted out into the world before me, for all eyes to see. What I have said, and will say, can be criticized, accepted or rejected by the public eye whether I like it or not.
Confident. I am a young adult in an era that is ruled by young adults. My role as a public figure is backed up by my personal opinions and statements that will be posted within this blog. I am confident that I am a distinct reflection of my background and upbringing. It is my responsibility to represent myself in the public sphere, to represent what I believe in, and I am confident that I will consistently communicate these responsibilities to the public if need be.
My role in the public sphere is to be me, and to show the world what I am capable of. My role is to complete my daily tasks, and be satisfied with what I have accomplished in the long run. The world is mine, the world is yours, the world is ours. Bless it with your role.
